Nancy A. Vecchiarelli was a federal magistrate judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She was appointed to this position on April 20, 1998, and she retired from judicial service on July 22, 2016.[1][2]

Education

Judge Vecchiarelli received her A.B. degree from Miami University in 1972 and her J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1977.[1]

Career

Judge Vecchiarelli began her career in 1977 as a law clerk to Judge Thomas Parrino of the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. She then joined the law firm Hahn, Loeser & Parks in 1979. In 1986, she became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the Northern District of Ohio. She worked in this position as a Computer and Violent Crimes Coordinator until 1987, when she was assigned to the Criminal Division - General Crimes Unit. She became a magistrate judge the following year.[1]
