Otis Chisley
Otis Chisley was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 17 of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
Biography
Chisley served as president of the local chapter of the NAACP and was the former chairman of the I-20 Economic Development District. He graduated from Grambling State University and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe.[1]
Elections
2011
Chisley ran in the 2011 election for Louisiana House of Representatives District 17. He faced Democrats Billye Burns, Marcus Hunter and Brenda Shelling in the primary election on October 22, 2011. Because Louisiana uses a blanket primary system, a candidate can be declared the overall winner of the seat by garnering 50 percent +1 of the vote in the primary. Burns and Hunter won the primary.[2]
