Equal Opportunity & Economic Growth
A city thrives when all residents have access to opportunities. I believe in fostering an environment where small businesses grow, good-paying jobs are created, and innovation is encouraged. We must ensure that every child has access to quality education and every worker has a path to success, regardless of their background.
Love & Care for Our Citizens
Leadership is about serving with compassion. From ensuring safe neighborhoods to investing in affordable housing, healthcare access, and senior services, my priority is to care for every resident as if they were family. No one should feel forgotten, and no challenge should go unheard.
Advancing Garland’s Development
The future of Garland must be built on smart infrastructure, sustainable growth, and forward-thinking policies. I am committed to modernizing our roads, enhancing public transportation, expanding green spaces, and supporting responsible development that benefits all.
Effective leadership requires objectivity, meaning decisions should be evidence-based and merit-driven, free from bias or favoritism. By prioritizing facts over politics, we can implement policies that serve the entire community. Respect is another essential value—every resident deserves to be heard, valued, and treated with dignity, regardless of background, beliefs, or status.
A great leader must also embrace humility—recognizing that true progress comes from collaboration and listening to the voices of the people. I will always seek community input, ensuring that policies reflect the needs of those who call Garland home. Community engagement will be at the heart of my leadership, with frequent public forums, accessible city services, and a commitment to responding to the concerns of all neighborhoods.

Public safety, infrastructure improvements, small business support, and education will be top priorities to foster a thriving and prosperous city.
Beyond my professional experience, I have a lifelong passion for serving the community. From my early years in student leadership to my roles in HOA associations, ethnic organizations, and charity initiatives, I have always worked to bring people together and create positive change. My involvement in blood donation drives, free medical camps, and environmental awareness campaigns reflects my commitment to the well-being of others.
From working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on critical defense projects to overseeing financial operations as a Chief Accountant and State Financial Examiner, I have gained valuable expertise in planning, budgeting, and strategic development. My journey as a small business owner, realtor, and insurance agency founder has given me firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing hardworking families and entrepreneurs in Garland.
Beyond my professional experience, my passion for community service has been at the heart of everything I do. I have led HOAs, organized blood donation drives, hosted awareness seminars, and produced impactful short films on environmental conservation and public health. Inspired by great leaders like Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr., I believe in the power of unity, fairness, and unwavering dedication to making a difference.
As long as I stand for what is right, act with integrity, and uphold the law of the land, I remain confident in overcoming any struggles that come my way. My commitment to service is unwavering, and no amount of criticism will deter me from working for the betterment of Garland and its people.
Key Responsibilities & Leadership Traits of a Mayor:
Inclusive Leadership & Equal Opportunity – The Mayor must embrace Garland’s diverse cultures and provide opportunities for all, ensuring fair representation, business access, and community support.
Economic Growth & Job Creation – A strong city requires a thriving business climate. The Mayor should support small businesses, attract new industries, and create good-paying jobs while fostering innovation.
Keeping Promises & Staying Accountable – Leadership means delivering results, staying transparent, and maintaining clear communication with residents on progress. Trust is built by keeping commitments.
Innovation & Modernization – Progress depends on new ideas and creative solutions to improve infrastructure, technology, and public services for a better quality of life.
Public Safety & Well-Being – The Mayor must prioritize strong community policing, emergency preparedness, and access to healthcare while addressing mental health and social services.
Environmental Responsibility – Advocating for sustainability, clean energy, green spaces, and responsible development ensures a healthier future for generations to come.
Active Community Presence – A Mayor should engage directly with residents, attend public events, and listen to concerns firsthand to strengthen relationships and build trust.
How It Works in Garland:
City Council (Including the Mayor): The City Council, led by the Mayor, is responsible for setting strategic goals, policies, and priorities for the city. They represent the residents, make legislative decisions, approve budgets, and establish the overall direction for Garland’s growth and development.
City Manager: The City Manager, appointed by the City Council, is responsible for implementing the policies and goals set by the Council. They oversee city departments, manage city operations, and ensure services are delivered effectively. The City Manager makes operational decisions, hires staff, and ensures the city's day-to-day functions align with the Council’s vision.
Key Distinctions:
Strategic Planning: The City Council (elected leaders) sets the vision and high-level priorities.
Operational Execution: The City Manager (hired professional) ensures these goals are carried out effectively.
Since the Mayor in Garland is part of the City Council, the ideal relationship should be collaborative, respectful, and focused on consensus-building. The Mayor serves as the presiding officer in Council meetings and should facilitate productive discussions, ensuring that all voices are heard while promoting efficient decision-making.
Bringing the Multicultural Community Together – As Garland continues to grow in diversity, fostering inclusivity, civic engagement, and cultural unity will be essential. Ensuring equal representation, access to resources, and community programs that embrace all backgrounds will strengthen the city.
Expanding Infrastructure – With a growing population, Garland must invest in better roads, public transit, drainage systems, and utility upgrades to accommodate future needs. Addressing traffic congestion, aging infrastructure, and sustainable urban planning will be key to long-term success.
Promoting Small Businesses & Economic Growth – Small businesses are the backbone of Garland’s economy. Policies that support entrepreneurship, reduce regulatory burdens, and provide incentives for local businesses will help sustain economic vitality. Strengthening workforce development and attracting diverse industries will also be crucial.
Housing Affordability & Development – Balancing affordable housing with responsible development will be critical as demand rises. Encouraging mixed-use development and ensuring fair rental policies will help maintain housing stability for residents.
Public Safety & Community Engagement – Maintaining strong police-community relationships, expanding mental health support, and ensuring emergency response readiness will be vital for keeping Garland a safe place for all.
Environmental Sustainability – Preparing for climate challenges by investing in green infrastructure, energy efficiency, and pollution control will ensure Garland remains a healthy, resilient city for future generations.
The best relationship between the Mayor’s office and law enforcement is built on collaboration, trust, and transparency. The Mayor should support law enforcement with the necessary resources and training while ensuring accountability and high ethical standards. Open communication with the community and promoting community policing can help build strong ties between law enforcement and residents. This partnership ensures a safe and just environment while addressing the needs of the community.
Financial Transparency
Open Budget Process – Residents deserve to know how their tax dollars are allocated. I will push for a clear, accessible budget with detailed explanations of city spending and priorities.
Regular Financial Reports – Publishing quarterly financial updates and hosting public forums will keep citizens informed about Garland’s fiscal health.
Digital Transparency – Expanding the use of online financial dashboards will allow residents to track city spending in real-time.
Government Accountability
Ethical Decision-Making – I will uphold strict ethical standards to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure that city contracts and policies benefit residents, not special interests.
Independent Audits & Oversight – Implementing regular external audits will ensure financial integrity and prevent wasteful spending.
Community Engagement – Encouraging public participation in policy-making will ensure transparency and inclusivity in decision-making.
