Robert D. Siano
Robert D. Siano was a Republican candidate for the New York City Civil Court in New York.[1] Siano was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Siano also ran for the New York City Civil Court of Bronx County in 2014.[2] He is also a former candidate for the Bronx County Supreme Court (12th Judicial District) in 2013.[3]
Education
Siano received his undergraduate degree from New York University in 2000 and his J.D. from the St. John's University School of Law in 2003.[4][5]

Siano ran for election to the Supreme Court 12th Judicial District. General: He was defeated in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 3.3 percent of the vote. Laura G. Douglas, Kevin P. Kuehner, Julia I. Rodriguez, Norma Ruiz, Larry S. Schachner and John H. Wilson were also on the ballot, competing for three open seats.[3][7][8][9]

Judges of the New York City Civil Court are each elected to 10-year terms in partisan contested elections, with one exception. Judges of the New York City Housing Court are appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge and serve five-year terms. To serve on this court, a judge must be a state and city resident, at least 18 years old and practice in the state for 10 years. This court has a mandatory retirement age of 70 years old.[10]
