Campaign themes

2016

Hurley issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:

Provide a voice in Washington for those who are not millionaires or have an army of lobbyists. Provide personal, professional and equal opportunity for those who are lacking. Rebuild the middle class. Add a taxable $2,000,000,000,000 to the Gross National Product. Create a new living wage based on the 1969 corporate executive pay to min. wage ratio. Rebuild our decaying infrastructure creating many jobs.

End criminalization of hemp/cannabis. Free 35% of US prisoners there for nothing more than marijuana crimes. Re purpose private prisons to make them more profitable as agriculture centers instead of human warehouses. Seal our borders and deal with who is here now. And much more. Promote Not for profit Health Care and repeal ACA in favor of a single payer system. [4]
