Mortgage industry veteran that lead teams of over 100 sales managers, team leaders, and loan originators nationally.18 years in finance. Strong defender of 2A, individual rights, and medical freedom. Life long South Jersey native currently residing in Linwood NJ with my wife Cristina and children Barron and Kaylan.
Personal freedoms and spending. Budgets are not something many people are passionate about but should be. Every decision made by the Governor and the legislature impacts your quality of life and your personal experience as a NJ resident. We saw the disastrous effects of the state picking winners and losers through the COVID era. Maybe your business closed as a result of it. We also saw an unsettling number of people willing to give up their rights because so called experts said so. We’ve seen reckless spending at the state level and there is bipartisan blame to go around. As a libertarian, I would never support the wasteful tax and spend agenda that has become commonplace in the state; or ever advocate limiting peoples right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
To represent their constituents while adhering to the most rudimentary functions of government:
Deal making and leadership. I’ve been doing it most of my adult life.
To be in touch with what’s happening on the ground. The high level view of issues voters are facing or simply relying on data without context, you’re likely to make the wrong conclusions. Without a principled belief system you can’t be consistent.
One that my children would be proud of.
“The Anatomy of The State” It was my introduction to Murray Rothbard and shaped my view of government.
Struggle implies weakness. I see obstacles as opportunities. You either succeed or learn.
One of dialogue and acting in the best interest of the people guided by the framework of our constitution.
Eventually they are going to run out of other people’s money to spend. Flight to states that put freedom, lack of income tax and lower property taxes ahead of special interests.
They are a part of the problem. The longer they stay, the more entrenched and indifferent they become in representing their constituents. I value, grit, courage, and determination over experience. We were all new at something at some point in our lives.
Absolutely, but rubber stamping an agenda is what we see lately. If the defense for that is a quid pro quo, they are making very one sided deals. We need to change that.
TBD. I’m currently focused on this election while balancing my family and work obligations.
I’ve talked to hundreds of people in my district that are being crushed by runaway inflation, increasing tolls, and property taxes. I asked multiple people if they had applied for ANCHOR. While I think ANCHOR doesn’t do anything to address the root cause of the problems in this state, many didn’t even know about it. That is a failure of the constituent services office. As the only senate republican to vote for Phil Murphy’s budget, you would think his staff would have done a better job evangelizing the program to the residents of the district. Nearly everyone of these people I spoke with would have qualified for the maximum benefit. People are struggling and the state has their foot on their neck.
“Stronger, Fairer, Forward”
Nobody in government should be given unlimited power.
Compromise is needed to make any deal work. There is a significant difference between deal making and giving away the farm. There are certain nonnegotiable fundamental rights that cannot be compromised because you never get them back. NJ is a perfect example of that.
Budget, State government
