Sonja Bivins
Sonja Bivins is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. She assumed office on Feb. 2, 2004.[1] Her term will end on February 1, 2028.

Education
Judge Bivins received her undergraduate degree from Spring Hill College and her law degree from the University of Alabama Law School.[2]
Career
Judge Bivins began her career as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Virgil Pittman. She then moved to Atlanta, Georgia and joined the law firm Mack & McLean. She later joined the law offices of McGuire Woods, where she worked for over ten years before becoming a magistrate judge in 2003.[2]
