Spencer Price was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 18 of the Georgia State Senate.
Price was previously a 2012 Republican candidate for District 18 of the Georgia State Senate.[1]
Biography
Price was born in Acworth, Georgia and grew up on a farm near Thomaston.[2]

- Mercer University School of Medicine, Doctorate of Medicine degree
- Internal medicine residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia
- Mercer's Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, Master of Business Administration degree
- Studied at Mercer's Walter F. George School of Law
Price practices emergency medicine in a central Georgia hospital.[2]

Elections for the Georgia State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with a runoff election taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. John F. Kennedy defeated Spencer T. Price in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[4][5][6]

Ethics complaint against incumbent
On July 25, 2012 Price filed an ethics complaint against incumbent Cecil Staton.[7] According to a press release from his campaign, Price alleges that Staton participated in, and benefited from, a conspiracy to divert funds from the Georgia Republican Senatorial Trust to their campaigns.[7] Price also alleges that Staton received an in-kind donation in the form of campaign mailers from a political action committee also funded by the Georgia Republican Senate Caucus.[7]
