Steve Hopkins (Republican Party) was a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 7. He assumed office on January 5, 2016. He left office on January 2, 2024.
Hopkins (Republican Party) ran for election to the Mississippi State Senate to represent District 1. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on August 8, 2023.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[1] No Democratic candidates filed for election. Steve Hopkins defeated incumbent Wanda Jennings in the Republican primary. Hopkins ran unchallenged in the District 7 general election.
