Swayne Benson Loftis
Swayne Benson Loftis (Republican Party) ran for election to the Missouri House of Representatives to represent District 132. Loftis did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on August 2, 2022.
Loftis was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Springfield Board of Education in Missouri. Loftis lost the general election on April 7, 2015.
Loftis unsuccessfully attempted to run for the Springfield school board in 2014, but failed to gather enough valid signatures and then lost a court challenge to get on the ballot.[1]

The election in Springfield featured three of the seven seats on the board up for general election on April 7, 2015. Incumbent Bruce Renner ran for re-election against challengers Patty Ingold, Swayne Benson Loftis, Jill Patterson and Francine Pratt for the three at-large seats. Patterson, Pratt and Renner defeated the other two candidates to win the election.
