Tom Berg was a candidate for the District 1 on the City Council of Honolulu in Hawaii. He was defeated in the primary election on August 13, 2016.
He was a 2014 Libertarian candidate for District 42 of the Hawaii House of Representatives. He ran unsuccessfully for District 42 of the Hawaii House of Representatives in 2010.

The city of Honolulu, Hawaii, held elections for mayor and city council on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on August 13, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was June 7, 2016. Five of the nine city council seats were up for election. Incumbent Kymberly Marcos Pine defeated Kioni Dudley, Tom Berg, and Marc Anthony in the Honolulu City Council, District 1 primary election.[1]

Elections for the Hawaii House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Sharon E. Har defeated Nicole Ferguson and Michael Golojuch in the Democratic primary, while Suk Moses was unopposed in the Republican primary. Har defeated Moses in the general election.[2][3][4]

Berg ran in the 2010 election for Hawaii House of Representatives District 42. Berg was defeated by Democratic incumbent Rida Cabanilla in the general election on November 2, 2010. Berg was unopposed in the Republican primary election on September 18, 2010.[5][6]
