Williams' campaign website stated the following:
Change the culture of the department and improve morale via effective and proven 21st century leadership methods and policing processes. "People don't leave jobs...they leave toxic work cultures." Dr. Amini Aitsi-Selmi
Reduce overtime in the jail by 25% or more by hiring and retaining a robust and productive workforce. There are currently approximately 120 DSO, 50 deputy, and 30 clerk vacancies, leading to $14 million of overtime and an overworked workforce.
Address PTSD among sworn and civilian personnel in an effort to reduce officer stress, officer involved shootings, as well as improve officer/citizen contact and the jail climate.
Create an atmosphere of trust and competency through collaboration and community outreach with faith based organizations, advocacy groups, criminal justice professionals and law enforcement officials.
Create a Youth in Policing (YIP) mentoring academy/program in an effort to address school mass shootings and provide a positive culture of law enforcement interaction. This will consist of getting the youth interested, engaged, and involved in law enforcement.
Implement a Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program to assist with law enforcement services and encourage active participation with Dallas County citizens.
Connect with Millennials to encourage active participation and dialogue with law enforcement.
Take a more aggressive position and become more involved in Human Trafficking.
