2014

Maloney's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[4]

Medicaid Expansion

  • Excerpt: "When elected, I will fight to immediately implement the Medicaid expansion which South Dakotans are already paying for. If we are going to pay the taxes, then we should see the benefits."

Improve funding for K-12 and higher education

  • Excerpt: "Addressing burdensome student loans will allow our recent graduates to stay here and reinvest their talents and income back into our local economy instead of sending it to surrounding states."

Raising the Minimum Wage

  • Excerpt: "As a business owner and employer, I know how difficult it can be to make a business work. But I also know the value of a team of dedicated, loyal employees. I believe we need to raise the minimum wage in South Dakota."
