Reform should be efficient and fair, integrating those who positively contribute to our society. . CUTTING INFLATION With my background in economic development and banking, I know the importance of cutting inflation to keep the cost of living affordable. Implementing balanced economic policies that promote stability and growth will reduce the financial strain on urban families. TAX BREAKS FOR EXISTING HOMEOWNERS Homeownership is a cornerstone of stable communities. My work with the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) has shown me the importance of providing tax breaks for existing homeowners to maintain neighborhood integrity, encourage property investment, and support family financial stability. ECONOMIC STABILITY Economic policies should ensure that everyday essentials remain affordable. No one should have to choose between a can of Faygo and a bag of Better Made chips. By fostering a robust economy, we can keep costs down and support local businesses, a principle I've upheld while working with local entrepreneurs. EASIER PATHWAYS TO HOME OWNERSHIP Creating easier pathways to homeownership is essential for economic empowerment. My experience in banking and small business development has shown the need to reduce barriers to buying homes, making it more accessible for urban families to achieve financial security and invest in their communities. FUNDING FOR THE CANAL IN JEFFERSON CHALMERS Investing in infrastructure projects, like funding the canal in Jefferson Chalmers, is critical to prevent flooding and protect our neighborhoods. My experience securing state and federal funding for projects, such as the Coleman A. Young Airport, highlights my commitment to safeguarding homes and enhancing the quality of life for residents. HIGHER PAY FOR OUR TEACHERS Our teachers deserve competitive pay to reflect their crucial role in shaping future generations. By investing in higher salaries, we can attract and retain the best educators, ultimately benefiting our children and communities. ARTS EDUCATION Arts education is vital for a well-rounded curriculum. Supporting arts programs in schools enriches students' learning experiences, fosters creativiAty, and promotes cultural appreciation, an approach I've supported in various community initiatives. TAX BREAKS FOR NEW EMERGING ENTREPRENEURS Supporting new and emerging entrepreneurs with tax breaks stimulates innovation and economic growth. During my tenure as a Business Liaison, I've helped open and support new businesses throughout the district, securing significant investments and aiding local economic development. TAX BREAKS FOR CHILDCARE Providing tax breaks for childcare helps working families manage the high costs of quality care. This support is crucial for enabling parents to pursue careers while ensuring their children receive proper care and education, reflecting my commitment to community development. KEEP MONEY IN AMERICA & SPEND MONEY ON AMERICANS We should prioritize keeping American money within our borders. Financial aid overseas should be carefully evaluated to ensure our resources are used to strengthen our own communities first. Taxpayer money should be used to support our citizens. We need to focus on addressing the needs of our own communities before allocating resources to those who have entered the country illegally. BORDER SECURITY Effective border security is vital for national safety. This includes securing both our southern and northern borders to prevent illegal entry and protect against potential threats, ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. Taxpayer money should be used to support our citizens and legal residents. We need to focus on addressing the needs of our own communities before allocating resources to those who have entered the country illegally.	”

“	BUILDING A BETTER ECONOMY AND ENDING INFLATION American families are having a tough time making ends meet. Gas prices have skyrocketed and food prices are out of control. Growing a strong economy must be the priority for Congress. Americans want a return of positive economic growth, higher wages, and lower taxes. Polls throughout the country show that the American public have much more confidence in Republicans to restore and manage the economy. Raising interest rates is not the answer to fixing the economy and ending inflation. BUILDING PROTECTIONS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS Federal senior citizen programs not only need to be maintained, but they need to be expanded. With an aging population and more senior citizens than ever before, the Federal government must do everything it can to take care of the older generations. Social security, living assistance, Medicaid, and Medicare are just a few programs that our seniors deserve. Coordinated efforts between local, state, and federal governments must be in place to protect seniors and the benefits seniors rightfully have earned and deserve. BUILDING OUR ROADS AND INFASTRUCTURE Michigan roads received a failing grade from the American Society of Civil Engineers. Despite millions of federal dollars from COVID relief, Michigan's roads still are crumbling. Currently the federal money allocated for roads and infrastructure are not being spent wisely. There needs to be more accountability to reduce construction costs, increase productivity, and end reckless spending. When Congress allocates funds for roads and infrastructure, the money should just be for roads and infrastructure and not tied to other "side" projects having nothing to do with fixing the roads. BUILDING MEDICARE THAT IS ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE The Affordable Health Care Act was supposed to provide health care for everyone and keep healthcare costs low. When the government entered into the health care business, Americans saw a rise in health care costs and a decline in health care availability. In addition, medication costs have sky rocketed. As a result, Americans are not healthier. We need to allow private health care companies to compete because healthy competition in a private market is what will keep health care affordable. BUILDING STRONG EDUCATION FOR ALL AMERICANS Parents should have the right and choice to do what is best for their children's education. They should have knowledge of what is being taught in the classroom. Parents should be able to choose whether to send their child to a public school, a neighborhood charter school, or a private school. Federal funds should follow students to whatever educational institution their parents choose for them. BUILDING ACCOUNTABILITY IN FEDERAL PROGRAMS Federal welfare and assistance programs were developed with all the right intentions - to help those in need. These programs must continue to help those in need and not those who take advantage of the system. When analyzing and implementing welfare and assistance programs there needs to be a business approach with true accountability. America also needs to invest heavily in the American economy by providing higher paying jobs and health benefits. BUILDING STRONGER PROTECTIONS FOR THE GREAT LAKES Our Great Lakes and fresh water is in constant danger. Companies take millions of gallons of water ever day for very little. Invasive species like Asian carp are still constant threats. The federal government must do their part to provide funds and resources to help protect America's number one fresh water resource - Michigan's Great Lakes.	”
