Pedro A. Delgado Hernández is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Prior to joining the court, Herández was a partner at the law firm of O’Neill & Borges LLC. In June of 2013, President Obama nominated Pedro A. Delgado Hernández for a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.[1] Hernández was confirmed by the Senate on March 5, 2014.[2]
Early life and education
Delgado Hernández earned his B.S. from the University of Puerto Rico, graduating in 1979. He went on to earn his J.D., graduating magna cum laude in 1983 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.[3]

On June 26, 2013, President Obama nominated Pedro A. Delgado Hernández to the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico to fill the vacancy left by Daniel Dominguez.[1] Obama commented on the nomination, stating:
“ | These individuals have demonstrated the talent, expertise, and fair-mindedness Americans expect and deserve from their judicial system. I am grateful for their willingness to serve and confident that they will apply the law with the utmost impartiality and integrity.[3][5] | ” |

Delgado Hernández's nomination was returned by the Senate on January 3, 2014 and he was renominated on January 6th by President Obama.[7]
Delgado Hernández's nomination was reported to the full Senate on January 16, 204 after a voice vote by the Senate Judiciary Committee.[8] He was confirmed by the Senate on March 5, 2014 on a vote of 98-0.[2]
