Ellen S. Carmody is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. She was appointed to this position on October 10, 2000. Her current term will expire on October 9, 2024.[1][2]
Education
Judge Carmody was born in 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Philosophy degree from the Grand Valley State Colleges and her J.D. degree from The University of Michigan Law School.[3]
