The general election was held on November 8, 2016. A primary election was held on July 7, 2016. The candidate filing deadline for this election was on March 11, 2016.[1] Roberto Alcantar defeated William "Bud" McLeroy, Casey Tanaka, Lei-Chala Wilson, and Lander Iriarte in the Southwestern Community College District general election for the District 3 seat.[2]
