The 1st Congressional District of Ohio held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 8, 2016.
Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Steve Chabot (R) defeated Michele Young (D) in the general election. Chabot was unopposed in the Republican primary. Young defeated Jim Berns and Fred Kundrata in the Democratic primary on March 15, 2016. The general election took place on November 8, 2016.[4]

Incumbent: Heading into the election the incumbent was Steve Chabot (R), who previously served from 1995 to 2009 and was elected to the seat again in 2010.
Ohio's 1st Congressional District is located in the southwestern corner of the state and includes Warren County and parts of Hamilton County.[7]
