Paulette Burton
Paulette V. Burton is an Article I federal judge serving on the United States Court of Military Commission Review. Burton joined the court on September 23, 2015. The court reviews military commission trials and is composed of military judges appointed by the Secretary of Defense and civilian judges appointed by the president.[1]
Education
Burton obtained a B.A. from Spelman College in 1990 and a J.D. from South Carolina School of Law in 1993. She is a graduate of the following military programs:
- United States Army Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education—Common Core (2006),
- the Judge Advocate Officer Graduate Course (LL.M., 2004),
- the Combined Arms and Service Staff College (2000), and
- the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course (1994).[1]

- Chief of claims, 25th Infantry Division.
- Chief of legal Assistance, 25th Infantry Division.
- Trial defense counsel, Yongsan, Korea.
- Trial counsel, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
- Chief of claims, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
