Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Noteworthy events
DUI arrest (2025)
On September 15, 2025, police arrested Flores after they found him sleeping behind the wheel at a stoplight. Flores allegedly told police he drank a 24-ounce beer that night. He was taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center, and he was allowed to leave without posting bail or going before a judge after he submitted to a blood alcohol content test. Flores alleges that he fell asleep at the wheel because he was tired and that he wasn’t driving while intoxicated.[10]
In a statement, Flores said, “I am not suggesting that anybody should be driving that tired. It was 100% my fault. I was just way too tired. Driving tired is dangerous, and I should not have been in that position. Luckily, it was just me sleeping, but still, in another scenario, you could be swerving or hit a car, so there are other scenarios where this could have been bad.”[10]
On September 23, 2025 the results of a blood test taken four hours after the arrest showed that Flores had a blood alcohol content above the Nevada legal limit.[11]
On October 16, 2025, prosecutors formally filed a misdemeanor DUI charge against Flores.[12]
In January 2026, Flores pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of careless driving. He was fined $685 and ordered to attend a DUI school.[13]
