John Kennedy (Republican Party) is a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 18. He assumed office on January 12, 2015. His current term ends on January 11, 2027.
Kennedy (Republican Party) is running for election for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. He declared candidacy for the 2026 election.[source]
Biography
John F. Kennedy was born in Bolingbroke, GA and lives in Bolingbroke, GA. He earned a juris doctorate from Mercer University School of Law in 1990 and a bachelor's degree in economics at Mercer University in 1990. Kennedy’s career experience includes working as a partner at James-Bates-Brannan-Groover, LLP. He is on the Executive Board of Directors for the Central Georgia Council and Boy Scouts of America, and served as president of the Macon Bar Association. Kennedy was elected to the state senate in 2014 and currently serves as VIce-Chairman of the Banking and Financial Services Committee and Secretary of the Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee.
