David Patrick
David Patrick was a member of the Tulsa City Council in Oklahoma, representing District 3. He was first elected to city council in 1996 and was re-elected in 1998. Patrick served a third term from 2002-2004. He returned to the city council for a fourth term in 2008 and was re-elected to a fifth term in 2011.[1] He passed away September 14, 2018.[2]
Although elections in Tulsa are officially nonpartisan, Patrick was known to be a member of the Democratic Party.[3]
Biography
Patrick's professional experience included owning and operating Patrick Auto Service, an automobile repair business, and Patrick Enterprises, a property management company.[2]

2016
The mayor and nine seats on the Tulsa City Council were up for election in 2016. The filing deadline was April 13, 2016, and there was a primary election on June 28, 2016. A candidate was able to win a seat outright in the primary by winning 50 percent or more of the vote. A general election was held on November 8, 2016, for races with two candidates or races where no candidates received 50 percent of the primary vote. Incumbent David Patrick defeated Araceli Tiger and Jim Rice Jr. in the Tulsa City Council District 3 primary election.[4]

The city of Tulsa, Oklahoma held nonpartisan city council elections on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014, for races in which more than two candidates filed to run. District 3 did not hold a primary election. Incumbent David Patrick defeated Virgil Lee Wallace, Sr. in the general election.[5][6]
