Choate's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

  • As a product of Oklahoma's public school system, I can attest that with appropriate funding and support, Oklahoma's public school students can achieve excellent educations and be productive members of Oklahoma's social and economic growth. As your representative of District 28, I would seek to ensure those results for every child in Oklahoma.
  • If Oklahoma's legislators do not immediately accept federal funds to expand access to Medicaid or find an alternate form of funding, experts estimate that 93% of Oklahoma's nursing homes will close and patients will have few options for the skilled care they need.
  • In the Capitol, I will devote considerable attention to ensuring that Oklahoma invests in its future--both by repairing existing infrastructure and researching and championing more efficient methods of public transportation to lead us into the 21st century.[6]
