Donald Vaughan
Donald Vaughan is a former Democratic member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 27 from 2009 to 2013.
Vaughan is a former Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of Greensboro. He was also a member of the Greensboro City Council from 1991 to 2005.

Vaughan was unopposed in the primary election on May 4, 2010.[2]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Vaughan was elected to the 27th District Seat in the North Carolina State Senate, besting Joe Wilson (R).[3] Vaughan raised $157,744 for his campaign, while Wilson raised $11,020.[4]

Vaughan earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He went on to receive his MPA in Public Administration from American University. He then earned his J.D. from Wake Forest State University.
Vaughan is a former Legislative Clerk for Senator Robert Morgan. He is an attorney by trade.
