2016

The race for Pennsylvania's U.S. Senate seat was one of nine competitive battleground races in 2016 that helped Republicans keep control of the upper chamber after the November 8 general election. Incumbent Pat Toomey (R), who began serving in the Senate in 2011, defeated Katie McGinty (D), Edward Clifford III (L), and write-in candidate Everett Stern (I) in the general election.

Toomey ran his campaign separately from Donald Trump, and he did not tell people who he would vote for on Election Day. Toomey said, “You know, I’m not campaigning with Donald Trump. He’s running his campaign. I’m running mine.”[4][5][6]

Hillary Clinton, who campaigned with McGinty in October, criticized Toomey for not rejecting Trump as his party’s nominee. She said, “How much does he have to hear or to see? If he doesn’t have the courage to stand up against Donald Trump after all of this, then how will he stand up to special interests and powerful forces that are going to be trying to have their way in Washington?”[6]

Speaking about his campaign strategy, Toomey said, “I am convinced that Pennsylvania voters are going to make a complete separation in their minds. … There’s a presidential race going on, quite obviously, lots of attention, lots of focus, everybody’s got their opinion about it, and then there’s a totally separate thing happening in the Senate race — an incumbent senator most people know and an opponent. Totally separate campaign and totally separate judgment.”[6] Toomey stated on Election Day that he voted for Trump.[7]

Everett Stern is a U.S Senate Candidate and the CEO / Intelligence Director of Tactical Rabbit Inc. He has forged a career based on the principles of truth, integrity, and preserving freedom. His life is based on promoting Justice, fighting Corruption, and holding people accountable. U.S. Senate Candidate Everett Stern believes in crossing the aisle and is a common-sense reasonable Republican. Mr. Stern’s commitment to truth and integrity motivated him to become a federal whistleblower against HSBC Bank in 2012. After passing intelligence to the CIA and then the FBI Stern brought down the terrorist and drug cartel financing operation, resulting in the largest fine against a bank in U.S History 1.92 Billion. Stern has been featured in international headlines including Rolling Stone Magazine and the Netflix documentary “Dirty Money.” His actions informed his purpose for starting Tactical Rabbit a Private Intelligence Agency. Tactical Rabbit's mission is to fight corruption, promote justice, and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. Mr. Stern is the founder of Rabbit Capital Management a hedge fund, which in tandem continues his mission of discovering and halting efforts by those who work against America’s interests.
  • We must uphold the United States Constitution and Protect the American Democracy.
  • Let’s cross the aisle and all work together to make a significant positive difference for the United States.
  • We are all Americans, we have to Work Together to keep the American Dream.
I am personally passionate about National Security, Law & Order, Justice, Anti-Corruption, and most importantly Pro - Democracy efforts.
I look up to my parents, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King. My mom is a social worker who will do anything to help anyone and my dad is a Government Doctor taking care of Federal Employees and our troops for 30 years. I admire Lincoln because he was the first Republican on a mission to Unite the Nation and sacrificed everything to create the America we have today - same for Martin Luther King. I am very pro democracy and we would not be a true democracy without the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King stood in the face of absolute adversity, fought, and won.
Honor, Integrity, and Loyalty to the American People. Willingness to sacrifice personal gain for the greater good.
Everett is one of the hardest working and most dedicated individuals I have met in terms of his high level of service and professionalism to his clients and his passion for protecting his country and all Americans. -Bob Dougherty, Fmr CIA Field Operations Officer

--

“Everett is someone with a strong sense of right and wrong, and willing to suffer the consequences of doing the right thing. We would be better served to have more people like Everett in public life.” - John Sipher, Fmr CIA National Clandestine Service Executive
Repair the Republican party as it has become overloaded with right-wing extremism. Protect the American People from National Security threats as National Security is the main responsibility of government.
That I made a significant positive difference. I repaired the Republican Party. I fought and won against right wing extremism protecting our democracy.
I remember my house being hit by lighting as a kid and my family lost everything. We were living out of a hotel room for months waiting on the insurance money to find a new place to live.
My very first real job was working as a Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer for HSBC Bank. My job turned into a fight of National Security and to protect the American People from Terrorist Financing and Drug Cartels. My evidence passed to the FBI and the CIA led to the largest fine ever against a bank - 1.92 Billion dollars.
Awken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins. There was a time in my life after the HSBC terrorist and drug cartel whistleblowing scandal where I had nothing. I remember going to Barnes and Noble and buying this book. I do not know why it caught my attention, but it did. I read it in a couple of days and it gave me the motivation back in 2012 to form my current company and wait tables at PF Changes to pull myself up by the bootstraps. It got me to help myself because nobody else was going to help.
I would be buggs bunny. This Rabbit is always able to get around the hunters and get the job done.
Fire and Rain by James Taylor. I always remember the hard times I have had in my life and how it always turns around.
Doing the right thing and then getting punished as a result.
The United States is in the fight of its life right now to preserve Democracracy and stop both left and right-wing extremism. At the moment right wing extremism and Sedition is a significant National Security threat to the United States Democracy and the American People.
I absolutely believe in term limits. If I am elected I will serve two terms and then leave office. Term limits prevent corruption and allows for a healthier democracy.
The U.S. Senate only has 100 members and has the power to override Congress. The problem right now is that the U.S. Senate is so divided and corrupt that nothing can get done.
The less experience in politics the better. Politicians are corrupt and the last thing we need are more of them in office. We need real people who are going to stand up for what they truly believe no matter what and represent the American people with honor.
We need to work together. There need to be bipartisan support for bills. I am against the filibuster as it has often been used to block civil rights legislation intended to combat racial discrimination. Pro-Democracy legislation means that there is no filibuster.
I would consider the person's past pattern of life, experience, and political ideology.
Einstein gives out a test to his students and the teaching assistant realizes that it is the same test as the year before. He alerts Einstein immediately! Einstein replies, "Yes, it is the same test with the same questions, but has very different answers."
Using constutional procedures.
I would build bipartisan relationships and work with other Republicans and Democrats. As a commonsense Republican, I believe strongly that we have to work together. Building strong relationships based on commonalities is critical for a healthy Democracy. Knowing we are all Americans no matter belief is essential.
Yes, absolutely. American politics is too divided.

Campaign website

Stern's campaign website stated the following:

  • National Defense and Security

The cornerstone of Conservatism is to protect the United States and its interests. That means giving our military what it needs to do the job, the know-how, equipment and training to manage hundreds of bases, to defend against enemies wishing to do us harm.

To accomplish this, the US forms alliances with like-minded countries that share our interests and a desire to be open free democratic countries. It also means not getting into wars that are not in the interests of the US and our allies. These conflicts are not only a waste of blood and treasure but divert funding and investment from critically important problems and challenges we face as a nation. Conservatives do not believe in starting conflicts overseas; those resources should be conserved for protecting and advancing the economic interests of our country.

Conservatives care about the strength of the United States, as Republican President Teddy Roosevelt said; “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” The strength of the United States is measured relative to the challenges we face, such as, the growing economic power of China, their theft of important technology and data, the hacking and misinformation by Russia and the shadow of terrorism emanating from the Middle East.

Our security is undermined when we come to be solely dependent for vital energy supplies and resources on nation states that do not share our interests. We discovered how life threatening this dependence is when in March 2020 the United States faced the Coronavirus pandemic lacking the necessary PPE, Personal Protection Equipment to protect our front-line workers fighting to save the lives of our critically ill.

As another Republican President Abraham Lincoln remarked, “you cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.” America needs to seek self -sufficiency, it is not just good economics, our national security demands it.

  • Economy

National Defense and Security is dependent on a strong vibrant economy, History shows that the free-market capitalist system creates jobs and prosperity. In recent years, a radical free market fundamentalism has stripped the US of vital manufacturing know-how for the purposes of enriching the few and impoverishing our working and middle classes. In a grab for quick profits, the life blood of our prosperity and National Security is being drained. The economic ideology of Milton Friedman, that the only job of CEOs and company executives is to maximize profits for shareholders at the expense of fraying the social fabric of this country has to come to an end. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase wrote in his annual letter to shareholders in 2019, “the American dream is alive- but fraying for many.” In addition, he wrote, “40% of Americans don’t have $400 to deal with unexpected expenses, such as medical bills or car repairs.”

I intend to press for a restructuring of the outsourcing of our manufacturing by introducing a special tax on companies that move more than 15% of their production overseas and a requirement that funds held in offshore accounts be returned. Large companies should pay taxes just as our smaller and medium size businesses.

We live in an information age, small towns and factories across the US must change with times to keep pace with Asian and European nations. To accomplish this requires a joint partnership between government and the private sector. We can have a government that invests wisely and saves money wisely, while still performing the necessary tasks to serve the people now and to serve the country of the future. Economic strength is the basis of National Security.

  • Immigration

To ensure National Defense and Security the US must have secure borders. Our southern border is insecure. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people of all ages come into this country illegally. We have no record of who they are or where they go or why they are in the US. Many come for economic opportunity to find work. Their presence in some industries is vital to fill labor needs, such as, in the hospitality, construction and agriculture market sectors. This also results in depressing wages for our citizens and opens these immigrants to exploitation and abuse.

The time is long past for government and industry to get together and create a comprehensive work visa system that respects the rule of law. The economic security of our citizens and the working conditions for those allowed to work in the US legally depend on it. I intend to press for a temporary work visa program to address the needs of our industries, ensuring that the livelihoods of our citizens are given priority and those given entry are treated fairly.

This country was built by immigrants, it is the land of opportunity, but it is also a country whose prized and envied Constitution is based on the rule of law.

  • Gun Control

The Second Amendment to the Constitution permits the ownership of firearms. Everyone has the right to protect themselves and their loved ones. The US is a big country and many of our citizens rely on gun ownership as the last line of defense against those wishing harm, especially in areas where there are minimal law enforcement resources. Even those in urban areas have the right to protect themselves and their property. The protests, disturbances and violence seen in 2020 around the country is a reminder that when police resources are stretched, it is up to the individual to step up and defend their rights to life and property. I believe in keeping weapons out of the hands of criminals and in the hands of law-abiding citizens.

  • Law Enforcement

The recorded scenes of a 46-year-old black man George Floyd being killed while in police custody shocked the nation. No citizen of any ethnic background should be treated that way. While many exercised their right by protesting peacefully, others chose to use the opportunity to attack the police, destroy buildings and ransack businesses. There is no justification for this type of lawlessness. President Reagan said, “We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker.”

Calls to “Defund The Police” are an open invitation for anarchy. Our police are overburdened with responsibilities that are not germane to their mission in society, such as, dealing with marital disputes and the mentally ill. These situations are the domain of social workers. The core mission of the police is to protect citizens from criminals. Rather than “Defund The Police”, we need to fund trained specialists. This will allow the police to focus on the job they are supposed to do, “To protect and serve.”

  • Secondary Education

Over the past few decades education in the US has become politicized. A healthy, wealthy society is dependent on a well-educated population. Allowing school curriculums to become a form of political re-education and revisionist history at the expense of important learning in science, mathematics, and other subjects will leave us divided and unprepared to face the challenges of the 21 Century.

Throwing money at education has never been shown to increase performance. For students to succeed in school, they must first be willing to do the hard work of studying. The first responsibility for ensuring that students benefit from school lies with their parents and families. Where the resources and encouragement are not available, such as computers and good internet connections, funds for books and supplies, as well as, a quiet place to do homework, those should be provided by the school and local communities.

  • Cost of Higher Education

Only 41% of students graduate in four years and just 59% in six years from universities, the rest drop out with no qualifications and tens of thousands of dollars of debt. Learning a trade at a Community College would give those students a career with no onerous debt obligations.

I am proposing to reintroduce vocational training for students interested in learning a trade that will give them the ability to function as valuable wealth creating citizens to meet the needs of the information economy. There are high paying jobs going vacant in healthcare, data sciences and other areas of the economy that need filling. To accomplish this education funding needs to be channeled to Community Colleges. This will reduce the ever-rising costs of higher education and the levels of student debt, currently running over one and a half trillion dollars.

  • Environment and Innovation

The changes in climate and extreme weather events over the past decades are challenges faced by States across the country. They are also opportunities to create new businesses and invest in new technologies and infrastructure, such as wind turbines, solar panels, 5G, electric vehicles, and other new industries. This will reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and by extension overseas military involvement.

Much of our infrastructure is based on inefficient, outdated systems of creation and delivery. Smart phones introduced at the beginning of the 21st Century have made the need for land line telephones almost obsolete, high speed fiber lines have replaced expensive copper cable. With the increasing adoption of solar panels utilities will not need to build more power plants, but adopt new ways to service and store the excessive energy created by net zero and net negative buildings. This will be a boon to smaller towns and rural areas that have suffered greatly from the loss of manufacturing to overseas outsourcing. In turn, this will take a strain off the aging infrastructure of our cities, allowing them to upgrade to the challenges of the 21st Century.

  • Personal Responsibility and Rights

Preserving what is valued from the past and promoting and investing wisely for the future is a core belief of Common Sense Conservatives.

I am a passionate believer in the First Amendment. Freedom of speech is a pillar of democracy. It is not the responsibility of government to pressure corporations like Facebook and Twitter to restrict the speech of those whose views they do not approve.

If speech is inflammatory, slanderous or does harm to others, there are laws that address those situations. The first step on the road to totalitarianism is placing limits on freedom of speech.

Similarly, I believe that government has no right to tell restaurants and other businesses how they should designate their public bathroom for customers. Nor, as the Supreme Court ruled, does a business have to perform services if it runs counter to their religious beliefs. [9]
