Sandra J. Wortham was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 34 of the Illinois House of Representatives.

Biography

Wortham earned her BA in Journalism from Howard University in 2005. She went on to receive her JD from Chicago Kent College of Law in 2008. In 2008, she worked as an attorney for Segal McCambridge Singer and Mahoney, Ltd. She then worked for the Circuit Court of Cook County in 2009. Wortham has been the deputy director of the Chicago Police Department since 2010.

Wortham ran in the 2012 election for Illinois House of Representatives District 34. Wortham was defeated by Elgie R. Sims, Jr. in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1][2]
