Abdula Jamal Richardson, Sr.
Abdula J. Richardson, Sr. was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 27 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Richardson ran for the Mayor of Pittsburgh in 2013.[1]

2014
Elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Daniel Deasy, Jr. defeated Abdula Jamal Richardson, Sr. in the Democratic primary. Deasy was unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4]

Noteworthy events
Richardson, his wife and two sons were arrested in April 2014 for allegedly making 120 false 911 calls.[5] He was arrested again in April 2015 on similar charges. In both cases, Richardson claimed he was the target of racial discrimination.[6] Richardson was convicted in October 2015. He was sentenced to 3 1/2 to seven years in state prison.[7]
