Christine T. McMonagle was a judge on the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. She was elected to this position on November 2, 2004 and took office on January 3, 2005.[1] Her term expired on January 2, 2011.[2][3]
Education
Justice McMonagle received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1971 and her law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1974. She is married to Timothy McMonagle, former judge of the Eighth Appellate District. They have two grown children.[3]
Career
Justice McMonagle began her legal career in 1974. She worked mainly for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland until 1992. She was then elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, where she worked in the Domestic Relations Division until 1999. She then worked in the General Division of that court for one term. During her last year on this court, she also judged on the Mental Health Court. She was elected to the Court of Appeals in 2004, replacing her husband in the Eighth District.[3]
