Frank Ruff (Republican Party) was a member-elect of the Virginia State Senate, representing District 9. He did not assume office.

Ruff (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Virginia State Senate to represent District 9. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023.

Ruff served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1994 to 2000. Ruff died in October 2024.[1]

Ruff ran for re-elected in 2023 to Virginia State Senate District 9. On December 15, 2023, Ruff announced he was retiring from the Virginia State Senate due to health concerns without taking office to his newly elected District 9 seat. He previously represented Virginia State Senate District 15 from 2000 to 2023.[2]

Elections for the Virginia State Senate took place in 2015. A primary election was held on June 9, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 26, 2015.[3] No Democratic candidates filed for election. Incumbent Frank Ruff, Jr. was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[4]

On November 8, 2011, Ruff won re-election to District 15 of the Virginia State Senate. He was unchallenged in the August 23 primary and ran unopposed in the November 8 general election.[5]

On Nov. 6, 2007, Ruff won re-election to the 15th District Seat in the Virginia State Senate, defeating opponent Bob Wilkerson (D).[6]

Ruff raised $187,226 for his campaign while Wilkerson raised $40,681.[7]
