Ballotpedia biographical submission form
The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:
“ | What is your political philosophy?
I'm running to stop people from running unopposed in safely drawn districts. I have no money or political connections, but I'm going to do what I can to apply some pressure. Even just being on the ballot will force a career politician to spend more money, and be more accountable. Having that potential that they can lose will irritate a politician that otherwise would've had a sure-thing. I hope I can demystify running for office and inspire more regular people to run in the future. At work, I regularly solve complex problems by breaking them down into manageable pieces, creating process maps, establishing metrics, performing root cause analysis, and tying measurable solutions for continuous improvement. Our most pressing issues are often too complex to solve with a single silver bullet. I firmly believe that my skills and experience can be applied to our Government to transform wasteful spending into investments for future generations. Is there anything you would like to add? I do my best to be as honest about everything as possible. I don't shy away from controversial topics. I’m not here to change minds or win arguments. All I can do is offer up my thought process on issues to establish transparency. I’m not always going to be right and know everything, and that’s fine because my focus is on understanding problems so we can get to solutions that work with metrics that can show progress. Never let anyone tell you what to think. Learn how to think. Use structure and break issues down into manageable pieces. Use your common sense and sound judgment. The world is rife with agendas. Do your research and vote, even if it’s not for me. Better yet, run for office. If you don’t like your choices on the ballot, do something about it. Success or failure becomes irrelevant the moment you put your principles above yourself.[2] |
