  • In 2011, Mitch Daniels signed two bills regarding individuals living in Indiana illegally. The first was Senate Bill 590, which required verification of citizenship. The second bill, House Bill 1402, prohibited in-state tuition to "illegal aliens."[1][2]
  • In 2011, Daniels stated that he did not agree with the provisions in the Arizona immigration law, which allowed the detainment of individuals suspected of living in Indiana illegally by law enforcement agencies.[3]
  • According to a 2005 Associated Press article, Daniels expressed support for President George W. Bush’s proposal for a guest-worker program.[4]
