Monica Colbert was an at-large representative on the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education in Colorado. Colbert won a seat in the general election held on November 3, 2015.[1] She did not run for re-election in 2019.

Colbert obtained her B.S. in business management from the University of Phoenix. When she served on the school board, she had worked with Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners, the Lone Tree Arts Center, Beacon Youth and Family Center and DenverWorks, Inc. As of 2015, Colbert was the development director for the Carson J Spencer Foundation. She had also served on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Colorado Chapter.[2]

Three of the seven seats on the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. All three seats up for election were at-large seats.

Incumbents Dan Jorgensen and Cathy Wildman filed for re-election while Mary W. Lewis was unable to run due to term limits. The incumbents faced challengers Grant Barrett, Linda Cerva, Monica Colbert, Billie Day, and Michael Donald.[1] Jorgensen and Wildman were successful in winning re-election and Colbert won election to the remaining seat.
