The 10th Congressional District of New York held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 8, 2016.
Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Democratic. Incumbent Jerrold Nadler (D) defeated Philip Rosenthal (R) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Nadler defeated Mikhail Oliver Rosenberg in the Democratic primary on June 28, 2016.[4][5]

Incumbent: Heading into the election the incumbent was Jerrold Nadler (D), who was first elected in 1992. He represented New York's 8th Congressional District from 1993-2013, but ran for the 10th District in 2012 due to redistricting.
New York's 10th Congressional District is located in the eastern portion of the state and includes parts of Kings County and New York County.[8]
