Norbert Barrie was a Republican candidate for South Dakota State Senate in District 2.

Barrie ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota State Senate District 2. Barrie was defeated by former District 6 incumbent Art Fryslie in the Republican primary on June 5. Chuck Welke ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Jim Hundstad (D) is retiring due to term limits.[1][2]

2010
Barrie was a Republican candidate for the District 2 in the South Dakota House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. He was defeated in 2010. H. Paul Dennert (D) and Elaine Elliott (D) won election in the November 2 general election.[3]
