  • In 2000, Paul Ryan voted in favor of HR 434 - the Trade and Development Act of 2000, which authorized "the President to designate a sub-Saharan African country as a beneficiary country eligible to receive duty-free treatment, through September 30, 2008, for any non-import-sensitive article that is the growth, product, or manufacture of such country."[1]
  • In 2008, Ryan voted for HR 1830, which extended "the duty-free treatment or other preferential treatment for Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru" by extending the Andean Trade Preference Act.[2]
