Robert Mitchell (Pennsylvania)
Robert C. Mitchell was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He was first appointed to this court in 1972 and he retired from full-time service in 2005.[1]
Biography and Education
Judge Mitchell was born on August 4, 1940, in New York City. He received an A.B. degree from Dartmouth College in 1962, an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1964, and a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh's Law School in 1967.[1]
Career
From 1968 until his judicial appointment in 1972, Robert Mitchell worked as a law clerk to Judge Louis Rosenburg.[1]
