Thomas M. DiGirolamo was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He was appointed to this position on November 6, 1998, as a part-time magistrate. He was appointed to full-time status on June 30, 2004, and retired on January 2, 2022.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Judge DiGirolamo was born on November 28, 1956, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He received a B.A. in economics from Rutgers College in 1978 and a J.D. from Penn State University's Dickinson College of Law in 1981.[1]

Career

Judge DiGirolamo began his career in 1981 as a law clerk for the Circuit Court for Washington County, Maryland. He then worked as an assistant state's attorney in Washington County from 1983 to 1988. During this time, he was assigned to the Washington County Narcotics Task Force. He then worked as a private practice lawyer until 2004.[2][1]
