Richard Tisei (b. August 13, 1962) was a Republican member of the Massachusetts State Senate. He represented the Middlesex and Essex district from 1990 to 2011 and served as Minority Leader in the Massachusetts Senate from 2007 to 2011.
His other political experience includes being the assistant minority leader for the Massachusetts Senate from 1997-2006; he was also the second assistant minority floor leader for the Massachusetts Senate from 1993-1996. Tisei was a representative in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1985-1991; and chair for Weld for Governor campaign in 1990, and served on the Middlesex County Charter Commission from 1986-1988.
Tisei has professional experience as a business owner and a realtor since 1991.
Tisei earned his Bachelors degree in 1984 at American University.[1]

Richard Tisei currently serves on a number of legislative committees, including theBills in the Third Reading Committee, the Elder Affairs Committee, the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committee, the Municipalities and Regional Government Committee, the State Administration and Regulatory Oversight Committee, the Steering and Policy Committee, and the Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development Committee.
