Denise LaRue

Denise K. LaRue was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. She was first appointed to this position on May 24, 2011, and she served as a magistrate judge until her death on August 2, 2017.[1][2]

Education

LaRue was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received a B.S. in Public Personnel-Labor Relations from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1980. She later received a J.D. from Indiana University, where she graduate cum laude.[1]

Career

Judge LaRue started her career as a staff attorney for the Indiana Civil Rights Commission. In 1994, she joined what is now Haskin & LaRue, where she was a partner. She practiced law there until her judicial appointment in 2011.[1]
