Josephine Villasenor was a 2016 nonpartisan candidate for District 6 of the Long Beach City Council in California. She was defeated in the primary election on April 12, 2016.

Villasenor is from South Whittier, Calif. She earned a bachelor's degree in business management with an emphasis in early childhood development. She started the Wrigley Community Watch and belongs to the Wrigley Area Neighborhood Alliance and the MacArthur Park Community Association.[1]

The city of Long Beach, California, held primary elections for city council on April 12, 2016. The general election was held on June 7, 2016.
