William Matthewman is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He assumed office on July 2, 2012.

Education

Matthewman received an undergraduate degree from Florida International University in 1981 and a J.D. from the University of Florida in 1983. Matthewman also obtained a master's degree in public administration from Florida International University.[1][2]

Career

Matthewman began his professional career as a police sergeant in Miami. From there, he became a defense lawyer.[3]
