Gunning Bedford, Jr was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. He was nominated by President George Washington on September 24, 1789. He was confirmed by the Senate on September 26, 1789, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on March 30, 1812.[1] Bedford was succeeded in this position by John Fisher.
