Robert Braithwaite
Robert T. Braithwaite was a federal magistrate judge on the United States District Court for the District of Utah. He was appointed to this position on May 7, 2003. Braithwaite retired in May 2019.[1]
Education
Judge Braithwaite earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Utah in 1973 and his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1976.[2][3]
Career
Before becoming a judge, Braithwaite worked as a private practice lawyer and a Cedar City Attorney. He was appointed to the Utah Fifth Circuit Court in July of 1987 and then to the Fifth Judicial District in January of 1992. He retired from this position in 2003 when he became a federal magistrate judge.[2]
