The city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, held elections for mayor and city council on April 5, 2016. A primary election took place on February 16, 2016. All 15 city council seats were up for election. Incumbent Nik Kovac defeated Shannan Hayden in the Milwaukee City Council District 3 general election.[1]
