I am known for hard work and for getting results. I spent decades at the Louisville Water Company, starting in the union, working in Organizational Effectiveness, then running a variety of operations, ultimately to retire and focus on my family, and private business and investments.
I believe in Service above Self, and have spent a great deal of time working in my community on issues I am passionate about. I am the most proud of the time I've spent with Habitat for Humanity, but also participating in the annual Louisville Homeless Count, working with the YMCA LiveSTRONG program, and volunteering here at there over the years at animal shelters and soup kitchens.
I am a mother first and foremost, not a politician. I want families like mine to want to call Kentucky home beca- I am an Advocate for Public Education. I believe we need to increase our investment in Public Education and our Teachers. Education is a community's first pass at Workforce Development, it's a critical part of a healthy Economic Development plan, and plays a key role in recruiting new businesses and employees to open or relocate to Kentucky.
- I am an advocate for Restoring Abortion Access. I believe that legislators and judges have no place in our private medical decisions, that women and their doctors should not be criminalized for making those tough decisions, and that forced birth only puts rapists in charge, along with driving up teen birth rates. None of this is good for women or their families.
- I am an advocate for the Working MIddle Class. We need to be talking more about pushing wages up and expenses down.
