Ballotpedia identified the March 3 Republican primary for Texas' 32nd Congressional District as a battleground election. The summary below is from our coverage of this election, found here.

Jace Yarbrough (R) and Ryan Binkley (R) were the top two finishers among the nine candidates running in the Republican primary for Texas' 32nd Congressional District on March 3, 2026. Yarbrough and Binkley advanced to a May 26 runoff because neither received more than 50% of the vote. As of March 2026, Yarbrough, Binkley, Paul Bondar (R), and Darrell Day (R) led in polling, fundraising, and local media attention.[2][3]

The primary took place in the context of Texas' August 2025 redistricting. An Inside Elections analysis of the new district lines said the 32nd District "was previously a compact, Dallas-based seat with a Baseline of D+22. Now, it stretches from the Dallas suburbs deep into conservative East Texas, giving it a Baseline of R+17. Accordingly, we are changing our rating in this seat from Solid Democratic to Solid Republican."[4] Incumbent Julie Johnson (D) ran for re-election in the 33rd District.

Yarbrough was, as of the 2026 elections, an attorney specializing in constitutional law and the co-founder of Saint Francis Academy. Yarbrough said he was running because "President Trump needs reinforcements in DC to help deliver on his promises to the American people – and keep the radical left from taking us backwards toward a distorted vision of America."[5] President Donald Trump (R) endorsed Yarbrough on February 4, 2026.[6]

Binkley was, as of the 2026 elections, the chief executive of a mergers and acquisitions firm and the senior pastor of Create Church in Houston.[7] Binkley ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. In his Candidate Connection survey, Binkley said he was running because "we are facing a financial crisis in our nation that is threatening the future of the next generation. We have the highest debt to GDP ratio in our nation’s history and we need leaders in Congress to address this challenge with strategic plans and wisdom."

Bondar was, as of the 2026 elections, a businessman with experience in the insurance industry.[8] Bondar ran to represent Oklahoma's 4th Congressional District in 2024 and lost to incumbent Tom Cole (R) 65%–26%. In his Candidate Connection survey, Bondar said he was running because "Americans are getting a raw deal. We need to put America first. Let's stop selling out our citizens and start creating value in the tax dollars we harvest."

Day was, as of the 2026 elections, a business owner. Day was the Republican nominee in 2024, losing to Julie Johnson (D) 61%–37% under the old district lines. Day said he was "the MAGA candidate, running to bring honesty, common sense and proven conservative leadership to Congress. I stand on the unshakable foundation of the Bible and the U.S. Constitution to deliver solid solutions for Texans."[9]

Also running in the primary were Aimee Carrasco (R), Gordon Heslop (R), Monty Montanez (R), James Ussery (R), and Abteen Vaziri (R).

Trump Endorsed proven Conservative Fighter Who Never Backs Down I'm not running on promises—I'm running on proof. I gave up career advancement rather than comply with unconstitutional COVID vaccine mandates. The Space Force retaliated against me for criticizing transgender ideology—I fought back with First Liberty Institute and won. I've defended Americans in court against government overreach, fought the misuse of taxpayer dollars for abortion travel, and served as President Trump's election integrity lawyer. These aren't campaign talking points—they're battles I've fought and won. I don't fold under pressure. Texas deserves a representative who has already proven he'll fight for conservative values, not another politician who makes empty promises.
  • President Trump needs reinforcements who will finish the wall, end catch-and-release, and stop illegal immigration threatening our workers and communities. I will never allow Sharia law or Islamification in Texas. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land—no foreign legal or religious system will supersede American law. As a Stanford-trained constitutional lawyer, I'll hold government accountable when it violates citizens' rights—whether weaponizing federal agencies, imposing unconstitutional mandates, or attacking religious liberty. I'll support President Trump's America First agenda: strong military free from woke ideology, energy independence, and policies that put American families first.
  • Texas families deserve lower costs and economic opportunity. I support President Trump's fight to bring American manufacturing home, confront hostile foreign regimes that cheat and steal from us, and restore our economic independence. We must cut taxes, unleash energy production, end wasteful spending, and demand fair trade—not deals that enrich our adversaries while hurting American workers. Foreign competitors who steal our intellectual property and refuse to play by the rules don't deserve access to our markets. I'll also end the fraudulent abuse of visa and immigration programs that displace American workers and students with cheap foreign labor and fake credentials. I'll fight to put American families first.
  • For too long, Washington has sent our troops into endless foreign wars that don't serve American interests. I stand with President Trump's America First foreign policy: no more nation-building, no more policing the world, no more sacrificing American lives for conflicts that don't threaten our homeland. We must prioritize defending America—not foreign borders while ours remains wide open. I support peace through strength: a powerful military that deters aggression without deploying into unnecessary wars. We should confront real threats like China's aggression, maintain military readiness free from woke ideology, and secure our energy independence—but only commit American forces when our nation is at stake.
America first immigration, economic and foreign policy.

Campaign website

Yarbrough's campaign website stated the following:

Keeping the Border Closed

After four years of Biden’s open borders and rampant crime, President Trump’s bold and decisive action to close the border and deploy the National Guard to crime-ridden cities has saved countless American lives. In Congress, Jace Yarbrough will support President Trump and work with ICE & DHS leadership to ensure they have the resources that they need to continue protecting our communities from criminal illegal aliens.

He applauds and supports President Trump’s bold mass deportation efforts and will oppose all amnesty efforts whether they come from the left or right. He won’t let radical open border Democrats and those in our party who ally with them take us backward, like they have with America’s once shining cities.

America First also means putting American workers first. Jace will ensure that our legal immigration system isn’t being abused to drive down American wages.

Protecting our 2nd Amendment

There’s nothing more Texan than hunting with your kids, as Jace does. A proud gun-owner, Jace still treasures his grand-dads .410 and long barrel .22 and owns firearms for home defense.

Liberals in Washington DC will stop at nothing to restrict and control our 2nd amendment rights, and they don’t even try to hide their intentions. The last thing we need in Congress are weak-kneed Republicans who won’t stand up to their efforts and fight for our second amendment that has never been more threatened.

In Congress, Jace Yarbrough will champion national reciprocity on concealed carry permits so law-abiding gun owners can lawfully carry when traveling over state lines, and a repeal of the National Firearms Act - an outdated law twisted by Democrats to arbitrarily infringe on our freedoms.

Making America Healthy Again

Americans today are more likely than ever to suffer illness from additives and chemicals in our food. Nothing would help lower the cost of health care more than cutting down on the junk too many people put in their bodies and also ensuring that students once again meet the highest standards of physical fitness - not receive participation trophies.

As someone who has defended first responders in court who were fired over unconstitutional vaccine mandates, Jace will always continue to stand up for people’s medical freedom against these mandates in the future.

Restoring American Jobs & Economic Growth as we Stand Up to China

Americans today are more likely than ever to suffer illness from additives and chemicals in our food. Nothing would help lower the cost of health care more than cutting down on the junk too many people put in their bodies and also ensuring that students once again meet the highest standards of physical fitness - not receive participation trophies.

As someone who has defended first responders in court who were fired over unconstitutional vaccine mandates, Jace will always continue to stand up for people’s medical freedom against these mandates in the future.

Unleashing American Energy

Texas is the energy capital of America. In Congress, Jace Yarbrough will fight to support President Trump’s expansion of American energy production. As a lawyer, he sued the radical left over implementation of their job-crushing Green New Deal policies and will continue to fight them in Congress as he has done in court.

America First Abroad and Supporting our Veterans

Texas is the energy capital of America. In Congress, Jace Yarbrough will fight to support President Trump’s expansion of American energy production. As a lawyer, he sued the radical left over implementation of their job-crushing Green New Deal policies and will continue to fight them in Congress as he has done in court.

Protecting and Promoting a Culture of Life

A father to five wonderful children and unapologetic Christian, Jace Yarbrough is 100% pro-life. Jace fought abortion providers in court who tried to market and provide abortions to minors. President Trump delivered the biggest win to the pro-life movement in 2022, and the radical left will always find an enemy in Jace in any effort to expand abortion.

Fighting Indoctrination in Our Schools

Jace and his wife Elizabeth started their own Christian academy to combat the radical indoctrination of the left on our youth. Jace was reprimanded by the woke Biden military bureaucracy in 2021 for plainly stating the fact there are only two genders and men don’t belong in girls’ locker rooms. It’s important that we teach our children family values and hard work, grown in the Texas Heartland – not radical woke gender ideologies from San Francisco that are poisoning our youth.

Free and Fair Elections, No Exceptions

In 2024, Jace volunteered to deploy to inner-city Detroit as an attorney to combat voter fraud and ensure President Trump's victory in Michigan was securely protected. If left to their own devices Democrats will stop at nothing to rig the system to dilute our votes with illegal aliens like they have in California. In Congress, Jace will make sure the 2030 census includes a citizenship question so that far-left states like California, Illinois, and New York can’t game the system and pump up their numbers in Congress. He will also support voter ID to root out fraud and abuse at the polling place.

A 21st Century Economy Requires 21st Century Solutions

As we enter the 2nd quarter of the 21st century we need to ensure that America remains on the forefront of technological innovation while creating good jobs for American workers. It's imperative that we win the new space race and beat China to the punch on AI investment and development. We also must encourage the growth and development of blockchain technology so American, not foreign governments or regulators, shape the future of our digital economy.

Cutting Runaway Spending and Making Washington Live Within Its Means

As we enter the 2nd quarter of the 21st century we need to ensure that America remains on the forefront of technological innovation while creating good jobs for American workers. It's imperative that we win the new space race and beat China to the punch on AI investment and development.
