Jeff Smith (Iowa)
Jeff Smith is a former Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 1 from 2011 to 2015. Smith did not seek re-election in 2014.
Smith served as Assistant Majority Leader.
Biography
Smith earned his B.S. in Public Service and Administration from Iowa State University. His professional experience includes working as a farm and commercial lender and bank manager at First Bank and Trust, farmer, serving on the Agriculture Committee of the Iowa Bankers Association and on the Board of Directors of the Spirit Lake Mainsail Chamber of Commerce.

Smith ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 1. Smith defeated Kevin Wolfswinkel in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. No Democratic candidates filed in the district. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
