We have some tough times ahead in dealing with the economy and the impact it has on our budget. It is important that we all work together and share ideas on how we can generate additional revenue while at the same time improving the efficiency in which our government operates. We may not always agree, but you will always know where I stand. I welcome comments and am happy to engage in a civil dialogue with anyone. Just send me an email: roseforhouse@gmail.com or come to one of my monthly coffee meetings so that you can come ask questions and tell me personally your problems which involve local government face to face.
  • HEALTHCARE A moral society cares about the health care of its people. Health care is a basic human need, just like housing and food. I believe that our lowest-income neighbors should have access to health care and preventative services like the rest of us. Your socio-economic background should not determine your ability to access affordable health care.
  • EDUCATION Our children are the future of our state. I believe they need the best education we can give them. We need to understand that education is the bedrock upon which Democracy is built. A strong, well-funded public education system is very important to all Minnesotans and will assist us in the long-term growth of our economy.
  • AFFORDABLE HOUSING All Minnesotan's, of any age and income level and in every part of the State, should have the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. In recent decades, home prices and rental rates have increased faster than income, increasing the need for affordable housing.
I am passionate about making sure everyone has a place to call home. I am passionate about making sure we take care of our veterans who have continued putting their lives n the line to protect our freedom. I am also passionate about making sure we help our senior citizens by eliminating the social security tax and helping them age in place.
