Campaign themes
2014
Gaucher's website highlighted the following campaign themes:
“ | I want Massachusetts to continue to strive for top placement in public education. I do not want the federal Common Core centralized education standards to erode our local education standards.
I want to prioritize funding for Chapter 70 (Schools) and Chapter 90 (Roads). The 2nd Amendment rights of our citizens must be protected. I will fight to stop any legislation that violates our Constitutional rights in any way. I will work to eliminate burdensome taxation, starting with Governor Patrick's new gasoline tax. This tax will increase each and every year. The gas tax hurts working class citizens and must be repealed.[2][3] |
