In Arizona, a constitutional amendment requires a simple majority vote in each chamber of the Arizona State Legislature during one legislative session.
On March 3, 2021, the Arizona State Senate voted 21-9 to approve the constitutional amendment. The constitutional amendment did not receive a vote in the House.
